Nobody receives a MyDailyCheck call without agreeing to it first. Here's exactly how consent works.
When someone sets up MyDailyCheck for a loved one, we don't just start calling. First, we reach out to the loved one — by call or text — and explain exactly what MyDailyCheck is, who set it up for them, and what to expect. They must explicitly confirm (press 1 on a call, or reply YES to a text) before any daily check-ins begin.
If they decline, we respect that immediately and let the family member know. No pressure, no follow-ups, no exceptions.
You can stop receiving MyDailyCheck calls or texts at any time:
If you opt out, we stop all contact immediately. No questions asked.
MyDailyCheck is designed to comply with all applicable Canadian telecommunications regulations, including the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) rules governing automated calls and text messages, as well as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
We only contact individuals who have provided explicit, verifiable consent. All communications include a clear opt-out mechanism. We maintain records of consent for compliance purposes.
