Privacy Policy

How we handle your data — in plain English.

Last updated: May 2026

MyDailyCheck is operated by YourTech Limited, a Canadian technology corporation based in London, Ontario.

What data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the MyDailyCheck service:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you sign up.
  • Loved one information: Their name, phone number, and optionally their address (used only for emergency dispatch if configured).
  • Care Circle members: Names, phone numbers, and notification preferences for people in the loved one's Care Circle.
  • Check-in responses: Whether a check-in was answered, missed, or resulted in a help request. We store the response status and timestamp — not call content.

What we DON'T collect

  • We do not record phone calls.
  • We do not read or store the content of text messages.
  • We do not track location or GPS data.
  • We do not monitor your loved one's phone usage, browsing, or app activity.
  • We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We know that your loved one answered — not what they said or did.

How we store your data

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase on Canadian infrastructure (ca-central-1, Montreal region). All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted by role-based policies — family members only see their own loved ones, and care staff only see their assigned clients.

Who has access

  • You and your authorized family members: Anyone you invite to share access to a loved one's profile.
  • Care staff you assign: If you're part of an organization, staff members see only the clients assigned to them.
  • MyDailyCheck team: Limited access for support and system maintenance purposes only.

Third-party services

We use Twilio to place phone calls and send text messages. Twilio processes phone numbers and call/text metadata as part of delivering the service. You can review Twilio's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.

We use Supabase for database hosting and authentication. Supabase infrastructure is hosted in Canada.

Website analytics & cookies

On our public marketing site we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and move through the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes your IP address (truncated by Google), approximate location, device, browser, and the pages you visit.

We do not load Google Analytics on signed-in app pages (anything under /app, /admin, or /onboarding), so your activity inside the product — viewing a loved one's profile, check-in history, alerts, or billing — is never shared with Google.

See Google's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling, or use a browser-level Do Not Track setting or ad-blocking extension to opt out.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request. In the future, self-serve data deletion will be available from your account settings.

PIPEDA compliance

MyDailyCheck is designed to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect personal information only with consent, for identified purposes, and retain it only as long as necessary. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information.
