Most families don’t have a plan for when a loved one doesn’t answer the phone. The current options — medical alert pendants, surveillance cameras, daily in-person visits — don’t work for most people. The result is a silent gap where people fall through.

Whether you’re a worried daughter, an independent senior, or a care organization — MyDailyCheck meets you where you are.
For adult children
You live in a different city. You can't call every day. Life gets in the way — and the guilt creeps in. MyDailyCheck is the safety net that's always there, even when you can't be.
For independent seniors
You don't want to be monitored. You don't want a device strapped to you. You just want to live your life — and have someone notice if something goes wrong. A daily phone call gives you that.
For caregivers & agencies
You can't be everywhere at once. MyDailyCheck gives you a daily signal for every person in your care, with automatic escalation when someone needs attention.
For municipalities
Heat waves, cold snaps, power outages — vulnerable residents are at risk. MyDailyCheck provides a scalable daily check-in system with real-time reporting and emergency escalation.
These are the moments MyDailyCheck is built for.
Illustrative scenarios — real situations families face every day.
A worried daughter
Jennifer lives in Toronto. Her mom Margaret is 78 and lives alone in Stratford. Every morning at 8 AM, MyDailyCheck calls Margaret. She presses 1 and Jennifer sees a green checkmark on her dashboard before her first meeting. Two weeks ago, Margaret didn't answer. MyDailyCheck texted Jennifer, her brother David, and the neighbour Mrs. Chen. David drove over and found Margaret had fallen in the garden. She was okay — but she'd been there for an hour. Without MyDailyCheck, it could have been much longer.
An independent senior
Frank has lived in his home for 43 years and isn't about to leave. His kids worry, but he doesn't want cameras in his house or a pendant around his neck. He signed up for MyDailyCheck himself. Every morning at 7:30, his phone rings. He picks up, presses 1, and goes about his day. "It's like a friend calling to say good morning," he says. His daughter Sarah can see he's fine without having to call and check up on him. Frank keeps his independence. Sarah keeps her peace of mind.
A municipality
When Environment Canada issued an extreme heat warning, the Town of Riverside activated MyDailyCheck for 340 vulnerable residents enrolled in their community care program. Over three days, the system identified 12 seniors who didn't respond to their daily check-in. Municipal staff followed up within minutes, delivering water and checking on AC units. Every one of those 12 people was fine — because someone noticed in time.

MyDailyCheck works with any phone that can receive a call — landlines, flip phones, rotary phones, and smartphones. No app is needed. If they can answer a phone and press a button, they're all set.
We retry after a configurable window (typically 15-30 minutes). If they still don't answer the call, we try text (or vice versa). You control the escalation rules — how many retries, how long to wait, and who gets notified. Over time, the system learns their patterns.
It's a friendly automated call personalized with their name. They hear a warm greeting, then press 1 if they're okay or 2 if they need help. For texts, they simply reply OK or HELP. Many users tell us it feels like a reassuring morning routine.
Medical alert pendants require wearing a device — and 90% of seniors don't use them because of stigma, discomfort, or they simply forget. MyDailyCheck uses the phone they already have. No new hardware, no charging, no behaviour change. It also checks in proactively — pendants only help if someone remembers to press the button after a fall.
We only know that they answered (or didn't). We don't listen to conversations, track location, read messages, or monitor activity. No cameras, no GPS, no surveillance. We're a safety check, not a monitoring system.
No — and that's by design. The first call explains the service clearly and asks for their consent. They have to agree before check-ins begin. This builds trust and ensures they understand what's happening when the phone rings each day.
Cell networks and landlines typically survive power outages. If we can't reach them by any method after all retries, we alert your entire contact tree so someone can check on them in person. The system is designed to fail safe — silence triggers action, not inaction.
We immediately alert all contacts in their care tree via their preferred method (call, text, or both). Each contact can confirm they're handling it or escalate further. If nobody responds, we can escalate to emergency services based on your configuration.
